Looking for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the Baton Rouge area? It is now available at the Texaco station by the Baton Rouge Metro Airport (BTR).
Compressed Natural Gas is a substitute for gasoline or diesel fuel, and is an environmentally "clean” alternative. It is made by compressing natural gas, which is primarily composed of methane (CH4). Natural gas produces up to 23 percent lower greenhouse gas emissions than diesel fuel and up to 30 percent lower greenhouse emissions than gasoline. In addition to being an environmentally clean alternative to gasoline and diesel fuel, CNG is much safer than other fuels in the event of a spill. Natural gas is lighter than air, and disperses quickly when released.
The Texaco station is located approximately 100 yards below the entrance to the Baton Rouge Metro Airport. The address
is 8420 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70807.
