June 28, 2010â€”The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport will host its 5th Annual Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Workshop on Wednesday, July 07, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baton Rouge River Center. The workshop is designed for all firms interested in pursuing future work at the Airport, including DBE and non-DBE firms in the construction, engineering, planning, architecture, concessions and consulting fields.
Representatives from the Airport and the Louisiana Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer participant questions and provide valuable information including:

Ã˜ Is my firm qualified to become a certified DBE?
Ã˜ What resources are available to small and disadvantaged businesses?
Ã˜ What is the Louisiana Unified Certification Program (LA UCP)?
Ã˜ What are the Airportâ€™s DBE requirements for bids and proposals?
Ã˜ How can I avoid common mistakes on submittal forms?
