Airlines & Car Rentals
The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR), a former WWII Army Air Corps training base, has been providing commercial airline service since 1948. BTR serves over 840,000 residents in the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) area. The wider catchment area includes over 1.6 million residents in southeast Louisiana and southwest Mississippi.
American, Delta, and United - the "Big Three" - operate frequent jet flights from BTR to hubs in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Houston.  A pleasant atmosphere with convenient flight times and connections to hundreds of destinations worldwide make BTR the easy way out of town. Terminal-front parking, fast check-in and security clearance, and friendly service make BTR an easy airport experience...thus our marketing tag line: FLY EASY.
Please contact your airline with specific questions about your flight. Boarding passes are required for access beyond security screening. Boarding passes may be obtained at your airline's ticket counter, self-service kiosk, or website.

Each airline manages and staffs its own operations at BTR, including ticket counters, gates, ramp, and baggage claim. If your checked bag did not arrive or is damaged, please be sure to file a claim with your airline. You may also click the airline links at the bottom of the page to access airline websites for information on contacting your airline, including comments, compliments or complaints.
