Food Trucks Coming to Baton Rouge Metro Airport
Baton Rouge, LA – Food truck service will be available at the Baton Rouge Metro Airport (BTR) beginning this Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 11:00am – 3:00pm. The trucks will be stationed at the BTR Airport Cell Phone Lot, which is a parking area provided for drivers waiting to pick up arriving passengers.
The food trucks will include Taylor Made Concessions, Capital Seafood, and Smoke Bayou. The Cell Phone Lot is located on Veterans Memorial Blvd. at the end of Runway 4 Left, which is several hundred yards before the airport entrance. The food trucks plan to operate daily, but exact hours will be determined by demand. Vendors will vary by the day of week.
Taylor Made Concessions will serve breakfast and lunch with waffles and chicken as its specialties; Capital Seafood will offer fried fish and shrimp among other options; and Smoke Bayou’s menu will include BBQ ribs, chicken and turkey wings.
While the primary purpose of the BTR Cell Phone Lot is for drivers waiting to pick up arriving passengers, it also provides great views for those interested in watching aircraft takeoff and land.
