Kristin Jewell Named Manager of Marketing, Public Relations, and Air Service Development at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport
Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) proudly announces Kristin Jewell as the new Manager of Marketing, Public Relations, and Air Service Development. This historic milestone marks Jewell as the first female manager in this role in the airports over 76-year history. Kristin Jewell, a native of Pointe Coupee, began her career with the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge at Baton Rouge EMS in 2016. In March 2021, she transitioned to Airport Administration, where she has played a key role in advancing the airport's brand and mission. Her leadership and customer-focused approach have resulted in significant improvements in customer experience and community engagement. In her new role, Jewell will oversee all marketing and public relations efforts, foster relationships with the community and stakeholders, and strategize to enhance customer experiences and air service at BTR. Her diverse skills and experience will further the airport’s mission to provide exceptional service and connectivity to the region. Jewell is an active member of the Louisiana Airport Managers and Associates (LAMA), Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA), and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), where she is involved in multiple committees dedicated to Air Service, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, and Business Diversity. In addition to being a licensed and nationally registered EMT, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Northwestern State University.
